A devotional reflection on Jesus’ parable of the prodigal son.
Jesus told of a son who demanded his inheritance and left home. His rebellion led to ruin. Yet when he came to himself, he returned. The story reveals the human heart’s tendency to wander and the grace that welcomes it home.
A Father Who Runs
The father saw his son from afar and ran to him. He embraced him before the apology was complete. Jesus showed that God’s mercy moves faster than human repentance. Grace meets the sinner on the road.
A Celebration of Restoration
The father restored the son fully robe, ring, shoes, feast. Restoration was not partial. It was complete. Jesus revealed the joy of heaven over every returning heart.
Living as the Welcomed and the Welcoming
Believers live as those welcomed by grace and called to extend the same grace to others. Restoration becomes their testimony.
