Jude: The God Who Keeps His People

A devotional reflection on contending for the faith, resisting error, and trusting God’s keeping power.

Jude

Jude reveals God’s preserving grace. It teaches that believers must guard the truth and resist false teaching while trusting God to keep them from falling.

Earnestly contend for the faith. (Jude 1:3)

Keep yourselves in the love of God. (Jude 1:21)

Now unto him that is able to keep you. (Jude 1:24)

Christian Application

Jude encourages believers that God is able to sustain them and present them faultless with joy. Contend for truth, stay in God’s love, and trust His keeping power.

Sample Prayer

Lord, keep my heart anchored in Your truth and strengthen me to stand firm. Amen.

Hymns for Jude

This devotional pairs well with the hymns A Mighty Fortress Is Our God by Martin Luther, How Firm a Foundation by John Rippon, and Holy Holy Holy by Reginald Heber.
