Habakkuk: The God Who Is Worthy Of Trust

A devotional reflection on faith, questions, and trusting God in uncertainty.

Habakkuk

Habakkuk reveals the struggle of faith in confusing times. Habakkuk teaches that believers can bring honest questions to God. Though circumstances may seem dark, God’s purposes are wise, and His timing is perfect.

The just shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:4)

O LORD, revive thy work. (Habakkuk 3:2)

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD. (Habakkuk 3:18)

Christian Application

Habakkuk encourages believers to rejoice in God even when circumstances do not change. Faith rests in who God is, not in what we see. Trust God’s wisdom, wait patiently, and rejoice in His faithfulness.

Sample Prayer

Lord, strengthen my faith when I cannot see Your plan and help me rejoice in You. Amen.

Hymns for Habakkuk

This devotional pairs well with the hymns It Is Well with My Soul by Horatio Spafford, Be Still My Soul by Katharina von Schlegel, and Trust and Obey by John Sammis.
