Leviticus: The God Who Calls His People To Holiness

A devotional reflection on God’s holiness, atonement, and the call to live set apart.

Leviticus

Leviticus reveals God’s holiness and His provision for atonement. Leviticus teaches that God is holy and calls His people to reflect His character. The sacrificial system shows that sin is serious and that fellowship with God requires cleansing. Holiness is not optional but central to life with God.

Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy. (Leviticus 19:2)

For the life of the flesh is in the blood. (Leviticus 17:11)

I am the LORD that sanctify you. (Leviticus 20:8)

Christian Application

Leviticus encourages believers that God provides what He commands. He sanctifies His people and strengthens them to walk in purity and devotion. Live a life set apart for God, honoring Him in purity, worship, and obedience.

Sample Prayer

Lord, make me holy as You are holy. Cleanse my heart and strengthen my walk with You. Amen.

Hymns for Leviticus

This devotional pairs well with the hymns Take My Life and Let It Be by Frances Havergal, Holy Holy Holy by Reginald Heber, and Nothing But the Blood by Robert Lowry.
