A devotional reflection on Jesus healing the man with the withered hand.
The Pharisees watched Jesus closely, hoping to accuse Him. They placed the man with the withered hand in front of Him. But Jesus saw more than a trap; He saw a man in need.
A Command That Requires Courage
Jesus told the man to stand forth. Then He said, Stretch forth thine hand. Obedience required courage. Faith required action. And healing followed surrender.
A Restoration Complete
His hand was restored whole as the other. Jesus does not partially heal. He restores fully. He renews completely. And He reveals His compassion even in hostile environments.
Living With a Willing Heart
Believers are called to stretch forth what is weak. Jesus meets honesty with healing. He meets courage with strength. And He restores what is broken.
