September 23 2007 – Audio Sermon on Acts 5:41–42 by Pastor William Hixson
The apostles rejoice after suffering for Christ and continue to teach and proclaim Jesus publicly The passage shows resilience and the priority of witness despite opposition. It teaches that persecution can strengthen resolve, that joy in suffering is a testimony to the gospel’s power, and that the church’s mission persists because it is rooted in the risen Lord rather than human approval
Some good hymns for Acts 5:41–42 are Crown Him With Many Crowns by Matthew Bridges and Godfrey Thring, All Hail the Power of Jesus Name by Edward Perronet and How Great Thou Art by Stuart K Hine
