Joy: Rejoicing in the God of Our Salvation

A devotional reflection on joy through Psalms, Proverbs, and the teachings of Jesus.

Psalms Proverbs Jesus

Joy is the overflow of life with God. Psalms reveals joy in God’s presence and salvation. Proverbs teaches that a joyful heart brings life and strength. Jesus offers His own joy to His followers, promising a joy that remains. Together, these Scriptures show that true joy is found not in circumstances but in communion with God.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life… at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11)

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance. (Proverbs 15:13)

These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you. (John 15:11)

Christian Application

This devotional encourages believers that joy is a gift of grace. When we abide in Christ, His joy fills our hearts. Choose joy today by praising God, thanking Him, and focusing on His goodness.

Sample Prayer
