Matthew: The King Who Came To Save

A devotional reflection on Jesus as the promised King, His teaching, and His saving mission.

Matthew

Matthew reveals Jesus as the promised Messiah and King. Matthew teaches that Jesus fulfills the Old Testament promises and brings the kingdom of heaven near. His authority is unmatched, His teaching is perfect, and His compassion is deep. He calls His followers to wholehearted devotion and trust.

Thou shalt call his name JESUS. (Matthew 1:21)

Seek ye first the kingdom of God. (Matthew 6:33)

Come unto me, all ye that labour. (Matthew 11:28)

Christian Application

Matthew encourages believers that Jesus is a gentle and gracious King who invites the weary to find rest in Him. His presence brings hope, direction, and peace. Seek Christ’s kingdom first, follow His teaching, and rest in His saving grace.

Sample Prayer

Lord, help me follow Jesus as my King and trust His words with a willing heart. Amen.
