The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Jesus teaches that true love shows mercy to those in need.

Seeing True Neighbor Love

Jesus teaches that a man fell among thieves and was left wounded which reveals human vulnerability. Religious passersby ignored his suffering with cold hearts. The Samaritan showed compassion that reflected God’s mercy. True neighbor love acts with kindness and sacrifice. Compassion reveals genuine discipleship. God calls His people to love others.

Rejecting Indifference

Jesus teaches that indifference harms the wounded and dishonors God. Indifference reveals a lack of compassion and spiritual blindness. True disciples must reject coldhearted religion. Love requires action shaped by mercy. Indifference weakens witness and damages the soul. God calls His people to compassionate living.

Acting With Sacrificial Mercy

Jesus teaches that the Samaritan cared for the wounded man with personal sacrifice. Mercy requires time and effort. True disciples serve others with compassion and humility. Sacrificial love reflects Christ’s heart. Mercy strengthens communities and honors God. God blesses those who show mercy.

Living as a True Neighbor

Jesus teaches that believers must go and do likewise which calls for active compassion. True neighbor love crosses boundaries and prejudices. Compassion reveals the heart of Christ. Love must be shown through action not words alone. True disciples serve with sincerity and grace. God calls His people to merciful living.
