The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Jesus teaches that only those who remain spiritually prepared will enter His kingdom.

Understanding True Readiness

Jesus teaches that ten virgins took their lamps to meet the bridegroom but only five were wise. Wisdom is shown through preparation and devotion. True readiness requires continual faithfulness. Spiritual preparation cannot be borrowed or shared. Only those prepared will enter with Christ. God calls His people to readiness.

Rejecting Spiritual Neglect

Jesus teaches that the foolish virgins took no oil which symbolizes neglect of spiritual life. Neglect weakens the heart and blinds the soul. True disciples must guard their spiritual vitality. Neglect leads to unpreparedness and loss. The Spirit strengthens those who seek Him daily. God warns against careless living.

Responding When the Call Comes

Jesus teaches that at midnight the cry was made and only the prepared entered. Christ’s return will come suddenly and unexpectedly. True disciples must live ready at all times. Last minute preparation will not be possible. Readiness reveals genuine devotion to Christ. God welcomes those who are prepared.

Living With Steadfast Devotion

Jesus teaches that the door was shut which reveals the finality of judgment. Devotion must be steady and sincere. True disciples persevere in faith and obedience. Spiritual vigilance protects the heart from deception. Hope in Christ’s return strengthens endurance. God blesses those who remain faithful.
