The Man Born Blind: Light for Those Who Cannot See

A devotional reflection on the man healed after a lifetime of blindness.

Miracles of Restoration

Jesus brings purpose to suffering. This man lived his entire life in darkness until Jesus opened his eyes. His healing revealed God’s glory and exposed the spiritual blindness of the Pharisees. The man’s simple, growing faith stands in contrast to the pride of those who claimed to see.

Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents. (John 9:3)

I am the light of the world. (John 9:5)

Lord, I believe. (John 9:38)

Christian Application

This devotional encourages believers that Jesus brings light into every kind of darkness – physical, emotional, or spiritual. No suffering is wasted when placed in His hands. Invite Jesus to shine His light into your darkness today.

Sample Prayer

Lord, open my eyes to Your truth. Bring light where I cannot see. Amen.

Hymns for Miracles of Restoration

This devotional pairs well with the hymns Amazing Grace by John Newton, Open My Eyes That I May See by Clara Scott, and Be Thou My Vision by Dallan Forgaill.
