Boniface: The Apostle to the Germans

A devotional reflection on Boniface’s missionary courage.

Church Martyrs Before 1600

Mission requires courage and conviction. Boniface cut down pagan idols, preached Christ boldly, and organized the church across Europe. He died with Scripture in his hands, refusing to fight back.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations. (Matthew 28:19)

Be strong in the Lord. (Ephesians 6:10)

The Lord is my light and my salvation. (Psalm 27:1)

Christian Application

This devotional encourages believers to stand firm in mission, trusting God’s protection. Serve Christ boldly today wherever He sends you.

Sample Prayer

Lord, give me missionary courage. Help me stand firm in Your truth. Amen.

Hymns for Church Martyrs Before 1600

This devotional pairs well with the hymns Onward Christian Soldiers by Sabine Baring?Gould, A Mighty Fortress Is Our God by Martin Luther, and I Love to Tell the Story by Katherine Hankey.
