The Man at the Pool of Bethesda: Rise From Hopelessness

A devotional reflection on the man who waited 38 years for healing.

Miracles of Restoration

Jesus meets us where hope has faded. For 38 years this man lay by the pool, waiting for a chance that never came. Jesus approached him personally, asking a question that pierced through years of disappointment. With a word, Jesus restored him and lifted him out of hopelessness.

Wilt thou be made whole? (John 5:6)

Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. (John 5:8)

Immediately the man was made whole. (John 5:9)

Christian Application

This devotional encourages believers that Jesus steps into long?standing struggles with fresh power. No situation is too old or too broken for Him to redeem. Let Jesus speak life into the places where hope has faded.

Sample Prayer

Lord, revive my hope. Lift me from the places where I have waited too long alone. Amen.

Hymns for Miracles of Restoration

This devotional pairs well with the hymns It Is Well with My Soul by Horatio Spafford, Jesus Lover of My Soul by Charles Wesley, and I Need Thee Every Hour by Annie Hawks.
