A devotional reflection on the woman who touched Jesus’ garment in desperate faith.
Miracles of Restoration
Faith reaches for Jesus even when strength is gone. For twelve long years, this woman suffered physically, emotionally, and socially. Yet she pushed through the crowd, believing that even the smallest contact with Jesus could heal her. Her trembling touch became a moment of divine power, and Jesus responded not with rebuke but with tenderness, calling her Daughter.
If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. (Matthew 9:21)
And Jesus turned him about… Daughter, be of good comfort. (Matthew 9:22)
And the woman was made whole. (Matthew 9:22)
Christian Application
This devotional encourages believers that Jesus honors even fragile faith. When strength is gone and hope feels thin, reaching for Him is enough. Reach out to Jesus today, even if all you can offer is a trembling touch.
Sample Prayer
Lord, meet me in my weakness. Honor my small faith and make me whole in Your presence. Amen.
